None Role Purpose The Commercial Americas team is responsible for day-to-day commercial execution, quotation governance, pricing discipline, and sales support for maintenance services across the region, ensuring RFQs are handled efficiently, accurately, and profitably. This role supports achieving revenue generation, margin protection, estimating activities, coordinating customer requirements, and ensuring proposals align with operational capability and financial expectations. The Commercial Manager provides oversight of the estimating function while remaining directly engaged in scope clarification, quotation development, and customer interactions throughout the opportunity cycle. Scope of Responsibility Lead centralized quotation, estimating, and RFQ management across the region Ensure commercial discipline, pricing accuracy, and quotation quality Support pricing strategy, commercial negotiations, and margin protection Manage RFQ intake, tracking, and outcomes through completion Provide customer-facing support Coordinate cross-functional inputs to proposals Align pipeline activities with business development efforts Maintain reporting accuracy, quotation consistency, and pipeline visibility Support revenue growth through disciplined opportunity management Core Responsibilities 1. Quotation & Estimating Execution Lead the centralized estimating function across the region. Ensure RFQs are logged, prioritized, tracked, and responded to within required timelines. Prepare, price, review, and oversee submission of quotations in accordance with defined KPI targets. Maintain real-time status updates in CRM systems to ensure pipeline visibility and forecast confidence. Develop detailed cost build-ups including labor, equipment, materials, subcontractors, and logistics. Ensure pricing complies with approved margin targets and commercial frameworks. Maintain consistency in scope definition, proposal quality, and commercial assumptions. Support development of competitive, executable proposals aligned with operational capability. 2. Customer Engagement & Quotation Follow-up Contact customers upon receipt of RFQs to clarify scope, timing, vessel details, and constraints. Conduct disciplined post-quotation follow-ups based on project timelines. Engage in preliminary commercial discussions within approved parameters. Escalate deviations in scope, pricing, or contractual requirements as needed. 3. Pricing & Margin Protection Support execution of pricing strategies. Lead negotiations within delegated authority levels. Coordinate vendor pricing and subcontractor inputs. Ensure proposals meet margin expectations and risk guidelines. 4. Reporting, Systems & Administration Maintain accurate, audit-ready quotation records and related communications. Provide structured reporting on RFQ activity, quote status, pipeline performance, and customer feedback. Develop forecasting inputs and performance summaries for leadership review. Identify trends, risks, and opportunities within the opportunity pipeline. Coordinate with business development teams on strategic pursuits. Support management decision-making through accurate, timely commercial data. Ensure continuity of reporting and information flow during team absences. 5. Team Leadership & Development Supervise and mentor commercial support staff. Support balanced workloads within territory to meet response commitments. Support improvement of quote-to-win ratios and revenue outcomes. Ensure approved leave does not create unsuitable staffing conditions or operational gaps. Coordinate coverage plans when absences occur and escalate when adequate coverage cannot be maintained. Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) RFQ turnaround time Accuracy and completeness of quotations Follow-up diligence and customer responsiveness Estimate accuracy versus executed cost Contribution to revenue growth and quote-to-win ratio Quality of CRM data and reporting discipline Job Requirements 3-7+ years of experience in estimating, commercial coordination, or maintenance services support. Strong costing, pricing, and analytical skills. High attention to detail and organizational capability. Excellent written and verbal communication skills. Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment. Proficiency with CRM systems and Microsoft Products. Preferred Skills College education (BA/BS) Marine, ship repair, or industrial services background. Familiarity with commercial contracting and pricing structures. Familiarity with Salesforce, SharePoint, or similar systems. Physical Demands Ability to perform moderate lifting and physical activity as required. Pay:
$85,000.00 - $95,000.00 per year
