Job Description The Sr. Specialist, Commercial Systems and Applications is responsible for designing, developing, and scaling automated programs, tools, and applications that enable faster, more accurate commercial analysis and decision making. This role focuses on standardizing processes and building automation that improves data consistency, reduces manual effort and increases the reliability of commercial and technical evaluations. The position plays a critical role in establishing structured, repeatable approaches for opportunity assessment by developing analytical frameworks, automation workflows, and application-based solutions. Through these efforts, the role improves speed, accuracy, and consistency of analysis while strengthening governance, traceability, and downstream execution readiness. Commercial process automation, analytics & decision support Identify manual, repetitive, or error-prone commercial processes and develop scalable tools and models that automate calculations, pricing logic, assumptions, and scenario analysis. Automate proposal generation, pricing workflows, and market and competitive landscape analysis. Develop and maintain pricing, proposal, and cost-to-serve (CDO) models to improve margin visibility, pricing accuracy, and deal quality. Build AI-enabled capabilities for lead generation and market/competitive intelligence to strengthen commercial insight and opportunity identification. Commercial systems integration, data integrity & revenue enablement Design and maintain automated end-to-end workflows across Commercial, Finance, and Sales systems to ensure speed, consistency, and traceability of commercial transactions. Ensure accurate transfer of approved quotes into SAP and support integration of pricing and rate structures to prevent revenue leakage and improve financial alignment. Automate invoicing workflows between Commercial and Finance to improve revenue recognition speed, control, and compliance. Develop and maintain a centralized repository of quotes and contracts to ensure auditability and consistent commercial reporting. Establish and enforce data standards, structured assumptions, and governance rules to ensure analyses and systems outputs are consistent and auditable. Platform enablement, CRM & reporting (Salesforce) Enhance Salesforce automation, workflows, and analytics to improve pipeline visibility, forecast accuracy, and reporting efficiency. Ensure commercial tools and applications are embedded into CRM and reporting processes to improve adoption, usability, and commercial decision-making. Cross-functional delivery & continuous improvement Partner with Commercial Operations, Finance, Sales, and technical teams to translate business needs into scalable system and analytics solutions. Continuously enhance deployed applications, models, and workflows to improve performance, usability, scalability, and business impact. Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Science, Engineering or related field required. Minimum of 2 years related experience required. Strong capability in designing, coding, and maintaining applications, automation tools, and analytical programs required. Experience building logic-driven models, workflows, and data-enabled applications to support analysis, standardization, and decision making required. Proficiency in application development, scripting, and automation concepts, with the ability to structure inputs, logic, outputs, validation, and version control required.
