San Diego-based Commercial Property Services Company is seeking a Field Tech Engineer to join our growing team.

Greater Los Angeles area (Roving Position) Reports to : Chief Building Engineer About the Position The Field Tech Engineer reports to the Operations Manager of the General Property division. This position uses advanced skills and experience to perform complex preventative maintenance and repair of commercial buildings. Provides customer service to clients and routinely communicates with staff and subcontractors.
Primary Responsibilities:
Identifying property maintenance needs on an ongoing basis. Logging, scheduling, and completing identified site maintenance work. Repairing, replacing, and installing all minor property equipment and hardware as directed. Conducting preventative maintenance functions in accordance with government regulations and company policies. Maintaining the overall maintenance and appearance of the property. Maintains responsibility for all property room and office updates, including painting, carpet cleaning, moving furniture, and room repairs as needed promptly. Communicating all work completed and scheduled to the Property Manager and direct supervisor on a weekly basis. Ensuring that all scheduled jobs and timekeeping are properly recorded and submitted. Maintaining ongoing equipment inventory and updating the equipment needs list. Assisting Managers and Clients when completing site visits by providing accurate and detailed information regarding the property needs and maintenance records. Maintain boilers, chillers, parking garage entry, and exit. Coordinate and maintain relationships with vendors and subcontractors. Completing all other duties assigned.

Requirements:
About You You are someone who can work independently, stay organized across multiple sites, and communicate clearly with property managers, vendors, and clients. You bring solid experience in commercial building maintenance, a strong understanding of safety practices, and the ability to troubleshoot issues across systems such as HVAC, boilers, and general building equipment. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys being in the field, takes ownership of their territory, and can balance hands-on work with team support and client interaction. You will thrive in this role if you are: A strong problem-solver who can troubleshoot issues in real time. Highly organized and able to manage multiple locations and priorities. Responsive, dependable, and take ownership of your work and territory. Professional and confident when interacting with clients and stakeholders. Tech-savvy enough to handle daily reporting and documentation.
Skills and Experience Required:
5-7 years of field technician experience in commercial properties. Valid driver's license with at least 3 consistent years of an acceptable driving record (required). Ability to travel and cover properties throughout Los Angeles, Ventura, Riverside, San Bernardino, and Orange counties. HVAC Certification is required. EPA Universal Certification is required. (Type

) OSHA Certification is strongly desired. Motivation to do a good job when working alone. Attention to detail and use of reasonable judgement. A polished, professional, put-together demeanor. Ability to use technological devices and computers (i.e., smartphone, tablet, computer). Ability to read, understand, and follow oral and written instructions in English.
