Job Description

Position Summary This position is responsible for ensuring compliance with all governing documents of the Architectural and Environmental Control Department (AECD), including Rules and Regulations, Architectural Control Standards, and Covenants and Restrictions. The role supports the preservation of community standards through consistent enforcement, communication, and collaboration with property owners, builders, and stakeholders. Essential Functions and Responsibilities Enforce all AECD Rules and Regulations, Architectural Control Standards, and applicable Covenants and Restrictions. Monitor properties for compliance and address violations in a consistent and professional manner. Respond to inquiries from property owners, builders, and staff regarding regulations, design standards, and property maintenance requirements. Investigate and respond to complaints related to potential violations. Provide guidance and education to ensure understanding and adherence to community standards. Prepare detailed reports, documentation, and correspondence related to compliance activities. Support and carry out departmental goals established by the POA Board of Directors. Qualifications and Skills Experience working with HOA/POA management, construction, code enforcement, or municipal (city/county) operations strongly preferred. Familiarity with governing documents such as Covenants and Restrictions, Architectural Standards, and Rules and Regulations are a plus. Ability to read and interpret technical documents, architectural drawings, and legal materials related to construction and compliance. Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact professionally with property owners, contractors, and officials. Proven ability to research issues, analyze findings, and prepare clear, detailed reports with recommendations. Solid computer skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel). Strong organizational skills and ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines. Commitment to excellent customer service and professional public relations. Education Requirements High school diploma or GED required. Must be at least 21 years of age. Valid driver's license with acceptable driving record (per company insurance requirements). Work Environment and Physical Requirements Ability to work independently and manage workload effectively. Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions. Ability to walk, climb, and navigate steep or uneven terrain. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines. Must be fluent in English and able to communicate clearly both verbally and in writing. Must be authorized to work in the US. Must be able to pass a drug test and background check.
