Residential Maintenance Inspector

Maintenance Inspector - Field Inspection Role Join One of the Fastest-Growing Property Management Companies in the U.S. Bay Property Management Group is seeking a Maintenance Inspector with a strong maintenance, construction, handyman, or property inspection background to join our growing team. This is a full-time field position for someone who understands property conditions, can identify maintenance concerns, and has experience evaluating homes, repairs, and overall property quality. The ideal candidate is hands-on, detail-oriented, and comfortable working independently in the field. You will be responsible for visiting residential properties, completing detailed inspections, documenting property conditions, and providing professional reports and photos to support our business growth. This is not a sales position — it is a field inspection role focused on property evaluation, documentation, and identifying maintenance-related items. Position Overview As a Maintenance Inspector, you will work closely with our Director of Business Development and serve as a professional representative when visiting residential properties. Your maintenance knowledge and attention to detail will help us accurately assess property conditions and create high-quality inspection reports. This position requires daily travel throughout our service area , completing multiple property inspections each day using mobile technology. Key Responsibilities Perform approximately 7 residential property inspections per day, typically grouped within the same geographic area Travel to assigned properties and complete detailed inspections Evaluate property conditions and identify maintenance concerns, repairs, and potential issues Document findings with clear written notes and professional photos Capture high-quality photos using a smartphone Upload inspection reports and photos into AppFolio (AF) Communicate updates through email and Microsoft Teams Provide a professional experience when entering occupied homes Work independently while maintaining accuracy, organization, and efficiency Maintain consistent quality standards across all inspections

Schedule & Compensation Full-Time:

40 hours per week Consistent schedule: 8-hour workdays

Pay:

$25.00/hour Gas expenses and EZPass tolls covered by Bay Property Management Group while performing job duties Ideal Candidate Qualifications Previous experience in maintenance, property inspections, construction, handyman work, facilities, repairs, or property management Valid driver's license with a good driving record Reliable personal vehicle required Ability to recognize common residential maintenance issues and property conditions Experience using tools, completing repairs, performing walkthroughs, or evaluating homes strongly preferred Strong attention to detail and ability to accurately document findings Comfortable working independently in a field-based role Professional communication skills and customer service mindset Comfortable using smartphones, apps, and computer systems Ability to upload reports, photos, and information into online platforms Comfortable working outdoors and traveling between properties Smartphone no older than 3 years capable of capturing clear, high-quality photos Why Join Bay Property Management Group?
