(Wi-Fi) Mobile devices Full Job Description The property inspector position offers an initial hourly rate of $21.00. Eligible employees who successfully complete the 90-day probationary period may be considered for additional earning potential. The Property Inspector is responsible for performing thorough inspections of vacation rental properties listed on VRBO (or similar platforms) before and after guest stays. This ensures that the properties meet cleanliness, maintenance, and safety standards while identifying any damage or issues. These findings are reported to the property owner or management company for necessary repairs, all while maintaining a high level of guest experience. This role is well suited for someone who is organized, has high attention to detail, and has a passion for working with multiple people and teams. The ideal candidate is customer service-oriented and excels in problem-solving. Great communication skills are needed as the Property Inspector works directly with multiple teams and individuals. The Property Inspector will report directly to the Area Manager and will also communicate as needed with our company owners during and after training to ensure they can perform their job duties. Feedback will be given on how to handle daily tasks and document procedures.
Responsibilities:
Responsibilities will vary depending on skill set and will increase along with pay as experience is gained. Quality Control is (80% of the job) Inspect properties after every clean/turnover to ensure company-branded experience and quality standards are met Document damaged items and communicate with appropriate resources Inventory supplies and submit orders for restocking/replacement Coordinate all communication with cleaners, handymen, and other service providers to ensure properties are guest-ready for check-in Schedule and oversee routine and emergency maintenance on properties Candidates should have a basic understanding of common home maintenance procedures, such as air filter replacement, battery changes, and minor repairs. Fill in gaps when needed for cleaning, maintenance, and guest issues Audit and update Airbnb/VRBO listings for correct amenities, policies, and copy Analyze and interpret data to improve processes and enhance the guest experience Customer Support is (20% of the job) Develop in-depth expertise with our technology, policies, and best practices. Communicate this knowledge effectively to all guests Model enthusiastic and personalized customer service to our guests and residents pre-booking, before check-in, during their stay, and post-checkout Coordinate with our field teams to resolve issues and provide ongoing updates to guests Monitor customer reviews, post guest reviews, and identify trends Proactively recognize and solve issues before becoming problems
Qualifications:
Candidates must possess a High School Diploma. This position requires the use of a personal smartphone with Wi-Fi connectivity and the use of a personal vehicle. Employees in this role are required to possess and utilize a functioning laptop computer. Eligible candidates should have 2+ years of property management OR 1-3+ years of hospitality hotel/Airbnb guest experience Skilled in using Google Suite (Gmail, Docs, Sheets) The ability to learn new operational tools quickly like Asana and Slack. Ability to multi-task and meet deadlines Candidates must be available to handle emergencies when guests are staying, including weekends. We DO NOT provide health insurance or retirement
