Job Description

Job Overview We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Senior Right of Way Agent to lead the acquisition and management of property rights necessary for infrastructure development projects. In this pivotal role, you will coordinate with landowners, legal teams, and internal stakeholders to ensure seamless negotiations, accurate documentation, and compliance with relevant laws. Your expertise will drive project success by securing the necessary rights efficiently while maintaining excellent customer service and fostering positive relationships with community members and landowners. Duties Lead negotiations with property owners to acquire right of way interests, ensuring fair and transparent transactions. Conduct comprehensive research on property titles, legal descriptions, and existing encumbrances using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools to support accurate decision-making. Prepare, review, and process title reports, deeds, easements, and other legal documents in accordance with real estate law and company policies. Collaborate with law offices, title companies, and government agencies to facilitate smooth title processing and resolve any issues that arise during acquisitions. Utilize GIS technology to map property boundaries, analyze land features, and support project planning efforts. Maintain detailed records of negotiations, documentation, and project progress to ensure compliance and facilitate audits. Provide exceptional customer service by communicating clearly with landowners, community stakeholders, and internal teams throughout the acquisition process. Requirements Proven experience as a Right of Way Agent or similar role within the real estate or infrastructure development sector. Strong knowledge of real estate law, property rights acquisition processes, and title processing procedures. Proficiency in research methods related to land ownership, legal descriptions, and encumbrances. Experience working with GIS software for mapping and land analysis purposes. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate complex information clearly and professionally. Background working in a law office or legal environment is highly desirable for understanding legal documentation requirements. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail and meeting deadlines.
