In this vital role, you will conduct comprehensive title research and abstracting to ensure accurate property ownership information, facilitating smooth project development and land access. Your expertise will help streamline title processing, support legal and GIS (Geographic Information System) functions, and provide exceptional customer service to internal teams and external stakeholders. Responsibilities Perform detailed research of property records, including deeds, mortgages, liens, and other relevant legal documents to establish clear title histories. Abstract property information accurately into databases, ensuring data integrity for project documentation and analysis. Collaborate with law offices and title companies to verify ownership details and resolve discrepancies efficiently. Utilize GIS tools to map property boundaries, rights-of-way, and other spatial data critical for project planning. Support the title processing workflow by preparing reports, summaries, and documentation required for project approval and compliance. Provide excellent customer service by communicating effectively with project teams, legal professionals, and external clients regarding title status updates. Maintain organized records of all research activities in accordance with company standards and legal requirements. Skills Strong knowledge of real estate law principles related to property ownership, liens, easements, and rights-of-way.
