Job Summary Join our dynamic team as a Right of Way Agent, where you will play a vital role in managing property acquisitions and easements necessary for infrastructure development projects. Your expertise will ensure smooth negotiations, accurate documentation, and compliance with legal standards. Responsibilities Conduct thorough research on property titles, ownership records, and land use restrictions using GIS (Geographic Information Systems) tools and other resources. Negotiate right of way agreements with property owners, ensuring clear communication and mutually beneficial outcomes. Prepare, review, and process legal documents related to land acquisitions, including easements, deeds, and title reports. Coordinate with law offices, title companies, and government agencies to facilitate smooth transaction processes. Maintain detailed records of negotiations, property data, and project documentation to ensure accuracy and compliance. Assist in resolving property disputes or issues that arise during the acquisition process through research and stakeholder engagement. Support project teams by providing timely updates on land acquisition status and potential obstacles. Requirements Strong knowledge of real estate law, land use regulations, and property rights management. Proven experience in research methods related to land titles, ownership history, and legal restrictions. Familiarity with title processing procedures and GIS technology for mapping and land analysis. Excellent customer service skills to effectively communicate with property owners and stakeholders. Ability to interpret legal documents accurately and work independently with attention to detail.
