Apprentice Appraiser

Barnwell County is now accepting applications for the full-time position of Appraiser. Salary for this position is commensurate with experience. Fringe benefits include medical and dental insurance, SC Retirement, and 401(k). Under occasional supervision, assists in the inspection, measurement and appraisal of real property in all areas of Barnwell County. Maintains accurate and up-to-date records on appraised property; updates records and maps as necessary. Responds to public inquiries and requests for information or assistance regarding property valuation and taxation. Reports to the Assessor.

MINIMUM TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE

• Requires high school diploma and certification as an apprentice appraiser, or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience that provides the required knowledge, skills and abilities.
