Residential Inspector for Rental Properties 4754 Franchise Street, North Charleston, SC 29418 $15

  • Full-time We are a full-service property management/sales company (est. in 1992), headquartered in North Charleston off Dorchester Road near Ashley Phosphate Rd. We are seeking a full-time Property Inspector. The candidate will be responsible for assisting the Property Management Team in all aspects of property inspections to include, but not limited to:
  • Contacting tenants to schedule move-in and move-out walk-through inspections of properties while documenting the condition of the home.
  • Scheduling lock changes and posting notices as required.
  • Complete visual drive-by inspections to ensure the exterior and grounds are being maintained.
  • Perform routine inspections of properties for cleanliness, unauthorized tenants or pets, and repair issues during tenant occupancy.
  • Inspect available vacant properties to ensure they are ready for occupancy.
  • Install signage at properties that are available for rent.
  • Take exterior and interior photos of properties as required.
  • Attend evictions and perform setouts when necessary.
  • Use multiple software programs such as Rent Manager, Word, and Excel to perform day-to-day administrative tasks to maintain information files and process paperwork.
  • Maintain working knowledge of Fair Housing laws, rules, and regulations concerning home rentals.
The applicant must be a self-starter with excellent organizational and interpersonal skills. Must arrive to work on time and be dependable. Have a strong eye for details, sufficient strength, and the ability to perform the physically demanding aspects of the job in a variety of weather conditions.
Minimum qualifications:
High school diploma or GED. Experience in residential/multi-family building maintenance and/or inspections preferred. Candidates must possess a valid state driver's license and be willing to submit to background/drug screening.
