Right of Way Agent Madison, WI Job Details Contract From $100,000 a year 21 hours ago Qualifications Easements Customer service Databases Land management Google Earth Organizational skills Law office Right-of-way Negotiation Pipeline Database software proficiency Full Job Description Job Summary We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Right of Way Agent to join our team in managing landowner interactions and easement acquisition for large scale infrastructure projects. In this position, you will be responsible for conducting research, negotiating with property owners, and ensuring compliance with legal and regulatory standards related to land rights from project inception through closeout. Your efforts will directly contribute to the successful development and expansion of essential infrastructure, ensuring smooth project execution while maintaining positive relationships with stakeholders. Pay commensurate with experience, Per Diem available, long term growth project in the Madison, WI area. Also seeking agents for Green Bay, WI; Joliet, IL area and St. John, IN area. Responsibilities Establish relationships with landowners starting with survey permissions and coordinating survey efforts on assigned properties. Negotiate right of way acquisitions with property owners, ensuring clear communication and mutually beneficial agreements by working with the Land Project Manager. Coordinate with the project administrative group to process legal documents related to easements, deeds, and title transfers in accordance with real estate law standards. Collaborate with law offices, title companies, and government agencies to facilitate smooth authorized signatory process. Identify and obtain supporting documentation such as Trust documents, heirship affidavits and authorized signatory documentation, as needed. Maintain accurate records of all property transactions, correspondence, and project documentation for audit readiness and compliance purposes. Assist in the development of project maps, water well identification, drain tile identification, crop value appraisals, damage mitigation and any needs specific to your assigned tracts to facilitate successful project completion. Provide exceptional public relations by representing a major infrastructure company through addressing stakeholder questions, explaining project impacts, and fostering positive relationships throughout the acquisition process. Requirements Proven experience or education in Right of Way acquisition, real estate law, land management, or a related field is preferred. Strong research skills with the ability to analyze property records, legal documents, and land use data effectively. Familiarity with title processing procedures and experience working with title companies or law offices is highly desirable. Proficiency in WORD, Excel, Google Earth and general database software or mapping tools. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally.. Experience working within a law office environment or similar legal setting is a plus. Detail-oriented mindset with strong organizational skills to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
