Job Overview We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Certified General Appraiser to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will be responsible for conducting comprehensive commercial and agricultural real estate appraisals across diverse property types, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards. Your expertise will support financial institutions, government agencies, and private clients in making informed investment and valuation decisions. This position offers an exciting opportunity to leverage your analytical skills, technical knowledge, and industry experience to deliver accurate and insightful property valuations that drive strategic outcomes. Responsibilities Perform detailed inspections and data collection on various commercial and agricultural real estate properties. Apply advanced financial analysis techniques to assess property values, considering market trends, comparable sales, income approaches, and cost methods. Utilize Geographic Information Systems (GIS) tools to analyze spatial data and enhance appraisal accuracy. Prepare clear, comprehensive financial reports and appraisal reports that adhere to industry standards and regulatory requirements. Conduct quantitative research to evaluate market conditions, property performance metrics, and economic factors influencing valuation. Collaborate with accounting professionals and construction experts when assessing properties involving renovation or development projects. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of tax laws, financial software applications, and current real estate appraisal practices to ensure precision in every report. Experience Proven experience as a General Appraiser with a valid Certified General Appraiser license or certification. Strong background in real estate appraisal methods combined with knowledge of financial concepts such as accounting principles and financial report writing. Familiarity with construction processes, building materials, and project valuation techniques. Demonstrated ability to perform data collection accurately and efficiently using various tools including GIS software. Experience conducting quantitative research related to market analysis or property valuation trends. Knowledge of LIHTC programs, Fair Housing regulations, and tax-related aspects of real estate valuation is highly desirable. Proficiency in financial software applications used for appraisals or financial analysis is a plus. Excellent math skills with the ability to interpret complex data sets and produce precise reports that support sound decision-making. Pay:
$80,000.00 - $140,000.00 per year
