Job Description

Preferred Education
  • Bachelors Degree in in Chemistry, Environmental Science, Engineering or related field preferred.
Required Qualifications/Skills/Experience
  • 1-3 years of experience in regulatory affairs within laundry and detergents or consumer packaged goods products
  • Knowledge of federal and state statutes and regulations related to pesticide registration
  • Working knowledge of relevant federal and state regulatory programs including FIFRA, TSCA, and California Proposition 65
  • Strong communication skills
  • Ability to manage projects with cross-functional teams
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
  • Ability to manage multiple projects or relationships while effectively communicating status to senior staff
  • Excellent written and oral communication skillsPreferred Qualifications/Skills/Experience

  • Support regulatory compliance activities for laundry and home care product development projects across the United States and Canada
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to ensure products meet applicable local, state, federal, and Canadian regulatory requirements
  • Assist with product labeling, ingredient disclosures, safety documentation, and compliance system management
  • Evaluate raw materials, formulations, packaging, and product labels to ensure compliance with applicable regulations and agency requirements
  • Support the development and documentation of regulatory programs and processes to maintain compliance with governmental regulations and industry standards
  • Provide regulatory guidance throughout the product development lifecycle while balancing multiple priorities and stakeholder relationships
  • Contribute to the ongoing development of regulatory capabilities and compliance processes supporting consumer product initiativesJob Duties
  • Approve label copy and assist with artwork approvals to confirm compliance with local, state, and federal requirements in the United States and Canada for laundry and home care product development projects
  • Support Safety Data Sheet (SDS) development and ingredient disclosure requirements
  • Gather and enter data into third-party compliance systems
  • Assist with various documentation needs as requested
  • Work proactively with cross-functional teams to ensure product regulatory compliance and provide necessary regulatory documentation
  • Develop and document programs and associated processes to comply with regulations and government agencies
  • Assist with raw material, formulation, and packaging regulatory evaluations to confirm compliance with local, state, and federal requirements in the United States and Canada for new laundry and home care product development projects
  • Evaluate, approve, and document raw material, formulas, packaging, and labeling regulatory compliance while considering regulations including Toxic Substances Control Act (United States), New Substance Notification Regulations (Canada), Consumer Chemicals and Containers Regulations (Canada), Consumer Product Safety Act (United States), Federal Hazardous Substances Act (United States), Poison Prevention Packaging Act (United States), federal and state Volatile Organic Compound regulations (United States), California Proposition 65 (United States), Federal Insecticide, Fungicide and Rodenticide Act (United States), Fair Packaging and Labeling Act (United States), California Green Chemistry regulations, and EPA Safer Choice requirements• Manage workload, priority, and performance of regulatory staff while providing development opportunities to build capabilitySpecific Details to Call Attention To• Candidates must possess knowledge of pesticide registration requirements• Experience with FIFRA, TSCA, and California Proposition 65 is required• Experience supporting laundry, detergent, home care, or consumer packaged goods products is strongly preferred• Experience with United States and Canadian regulatory compliance requirements is important for success in the role• Experience supporting product labels, SDS documentation, ingredient disclosures, and regulatory evaluations is highly desirable•Only those lawfully authorized to work in the designated country associated with the position will be considered.
