With a diverse portfolio of thousands of products, the company is focused on delivering authentic global flavors while maintaining strict regulatory and quality standards. As the company continues to scale, they are seeking a Labeling Compliance Specialist to support regulatory compliance, label accuracy, and cross-functional coordination across a large and complex product portfolio. Position Overview The Labeling Compliance Specialist is responsible for reviewing, updating, and maintaining product labels to ensure compliance with FDA, USDA, and U.S. state regulations, particularly for imported food products. This role plays a critical part in ensuring label accuracy, managing regulatory updates, and minimizing compliance risk while supporting ongoing business operations. Key Responsibilities Review, verify, and update product labels to ensure compliance with FDA (21 CFR), USDA, and applicable state regulations Ensure proper allergen labeling, ingredient declarations, and required disclosures across multiple product categories Manage regulatory updates related to ingredient changes, allergens, and evolving compliance requirements Conduct large-scale label evaluations, including legacy products, new items, and flagged compliance issues Communicate with domestic and international suppliers to obtain and correct label documentation Partner with QA, Marketing, and Procurement teams to align on label updates and project execution Identify compliance gaps, assess regulatory risk, and escalate issues to prevent potential recalls or violations Develop and maintain SOPs, policies, and best practices for labeling compliance processes Collaborate with Marketing to ensure product claims and branding language meet regulatory standards Work with Supplier teams to ensure vendors meet food safety and compliance requirements Support additional regulatory and labeling-related projects as needed Qualifications & Requirements Bachelor's degree in Food Science or a related field 3-5 years of experience with FDA (21 CFR) and USDA labeling requirements FDA food labeling certification Strong verbal and written communication skills Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Preferred Qualifications Experience with TraceGains, Genesis R D, or similar regulatory systems Experience working with food suppliers and/or imported food products Knowledge of certification and claims requirements (Organic, Non-GMO, Halal, Kosher, etc.) FSVP, PCQI, or HACCP certification Schedule Monday - Friday Standard daytime hours Compensation & Benefits 401(k) with company match Medical, dental, and vision insurance Life and disability insurance Paid time off and parental leave Tuition reimbursement MOHR Talent is an equal-opportunity employer and complies with all applicable federal, state, and local nondiscrimination laws.
