Job Title:
Regulatory Affairs Specialist Job Description This is an exciting opportunity to expand your regulatory experience within a unique industry. We are looking for a Regulatory Affairs Specialist to support our North America team with regulatory work for a variety of products. These products are categorized and supervised by various regulatory bodies such as the EPA, FDA, and Health Canada. This role requires prior experience and exposure to some of these specializations, with training and assistance provided for the rest. The position involves 10% travel, primarily domestic with occasional international travel. Responsibilities Manage product registrations for North American product lines, including federal and state registrations and amendments with US EPA and state EPA. Maintain contact with regulatory authorities and consultants to follow up on dossiers and queries related to veterinary topical products. Ensure all product registrations remain compliant and evaluate label changes for marketing materials. Determine and maintain FDA drug listings and research chemical compounds for project development related to food contact notifications. Draft regulatory marketing and press releases on regulatory impacts. Stay updated on regulatory amendments and their internal impacts to maintain compliance. Assist with safety data sheets, data requirement communications for registrations, and review/approve production documentation. Support quality assurance with product registrations and compliance issues. Collaborate with R D, Product Management, Marketing, Manufacturing, and other global regulatory affairs team members. Essential Skills 3-5 years of experience in regulatory affairs within FDA, EPA, or ISO regulated industries. Bachelor's degree in chemistry or a related scientific field. Ability to read and understand federal/state codes and other technical documents. Strong communication skills, both written and verbal. Ability to manage multiple priorities and projects. Detail-oriented with strong problem-solving skills. Proficient in MS Office. Additional Skills & Qualifications Flexibility and a team-player attitude. Experience in pharmaceutical or pesticide industries is preferred. B.S. degree in Chemistry, Toxicology, or Biochemistry. Work Environment The work environment includes a hybrid schedule with 3 days on-site and 2 days remote. The position requires 5 days a week in-person during training. Job Type & Location This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Des Plaines, IL. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $38.00 - $43.00/hr.
