Job Description:

A growing specialty financial services organization is seeking a Risk Analyst to support portfolio growth and risk evaluation initiatives. This role is responsible for conducting detailed research and analysis on business relationships and partner organizations to help assess performance, identify trends, and support strategic decision-making. The ideal candidate is analytical, detail-oriented, naturally curious, and capable of synthesizing large amounts of information into concise executive-level insights in a fast-paced environment. Key Responsibilities Conduct detailed research utilizing internal performance metrics, operational data, market information, AI-driven research tools, and public sources to evaluate new and existing business relationships Analyze factors such as historical performance, geographic footprint, industry specialization, organizational size, and operational trends Prepare written executive summaries outlining findings, performance changes, risk considerations, and recommendations for future engagement Assist with ongoing portfolio monitoring and risk-ranking processes to support resource allocation and strategic planning Partner with Risk and Portfolio Management teams on special projects related to specialty finance, capital markets, and portfolio analytics Maintain accurate records and monitor changes related to key contacts and organizational developments Qualifications Interest in building a career within financial services, specialty finance, or portfolio/risk analysis Strong analytical and organizational skills with exceptional attention to detail Ability to work independently, manage priorities, and meet production goals in a fast-paced environment Proficiency in Excel and experience analyzing and interpreting data Strong written communication skills with the ability to produce concise executive summaries and recommendations Self-starter with a high level of accountability, ownership, and intellectual curiosity
