The base salary range for this position is dependent upon experience and location, ranging from $110,800 to $138,500

Assist in preparing risk summaries and recommendationsRisk Policies and Risk Procedures:
Investigate, manage and report breaches and violations of Policies/Procedures limits and guidelines. Participate in the annual review of the Risk Policies and the Risk Procedures including (in co-ordination with the business) the recommendation of changes, help to effectively communicates the Policies and Procedures to the business, and provide Policies and Procedures interpretation Quantitative and analytical business support: Support business activities requiring Risk Management's quantitative and analytical skills.Risk monitoring and reporting:
Monitor the Power business' market risk and assist in the creation of market risk reports to be presented to various committees. Monitor the company's relevant risks and assist in the creation of risk reports to be presented to various committees.Market fundamental analysis:
Monitor and analyze fundamental market events and understand and anticipate their potential impacts on Avangrid's unregulated business.Operational risk:
Help monitor and report energy-management operational risk metrics.New trading and hedging products:
Assist in analyzing new products.Enterprise risk management:
Support monitoring and updating Key Risk Reports and Limits & Indicators measurements. This position will also be responsible for managing credit risk and some of the other various risks of Avangrid's businesses. Key Responsibilities Perform risk analyses of new deals including investments and PPAs. Investigate and help manage risk limit breaches and violations. Participate in annual Risk Policies and Risk Procedures revisions. Provide quantitative and analytical support to the business as needed. Assist in the production of weekly, monthly and quarterly reports of key risks and exposures. Answer ad hoc data requests and prepare reports/presentations on risk topics as requested. Required Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, Engineering, or related field of study and a minimum of five (5) years of relevant experience in industry and/or risk management. An equivalent combination of education and experience may be considered. Familiarity with electric power and natural gas trading Ability to interact well with other parts of the business Investment and financial analysis experience Strong analytical, writing, and presentation skills Familiarity with Sungard's Aligne/ZaiNet system is desired Internal and External Relationships This position will work closely with multiple areas within Avangrid Power including Credit, Front Office, Origination, Business and Investment Performance, Mid & Back Office, Control, Compliance, Development, and Asset Management. Preferred Qualifications Master's Degree in a related field of study.
