Job Summary Under the supervision of the Disability Management Services Manager, the Disability Management Analyst is a member of the UCSC Office of Risk Services. The Analyst provides support in implementing services and programs for the campus Disability Management Services office, supports other Risk Services programs, and coordinates assigned segments of the University's disability management program. The Analyst brings a full understanding of industry best practices for optimal risk mitigation.
Appointment Information Budgeted Salary:
$71,600 - $85,500 per year. Salary commensurate with skills, qualifications and experience.

Never or Rarely Work Location UC Santa Cruz Main Campus. Job Duties 40% - Disability Management Case Coordination and Program Services Support Provides coordination of services and equipment for assigned disability management cases. Provides remediation services to ensure accessibility of documents for assigned cases. Analyzes, compiles, and inputs disability-management data; identifies missing information; maintains confidential case files. Researches, analyzes, and recommends vendors for specialized disability-management services. Assists with implementing risk-control programs and strategies to reduce compliance risks and litigation. Coordinates annual renewal of vendor statements of work and liaises with Finance to set up new vendors and purchase orders. Engages with vendors for various accessibility services. Assists with analyzing complex data and metrics reports. Assembles and delivers furniture and equipment to multiple campus locations. Provides related support as requested by the Disability Management Services Manager and Senior Disability Analyst. 40% - Disability Management Program Development Assists in developing program efficiencies. Supports development of programming to meet Disability Management service goals; liaises with Workers' Compensation. Conducts thorough assessments to identify high-risk areas and activities. Designs ongoing training programs to educate staff and faculty on best practices; collaborates with Workers' Compensation on training. Works closely with high-risk departments to tailor initiatives that address specific needs and challenges. Regularly reviews the effectiveness of measures and training programs, using data-driven approaches to make necessary adjustments. Provides detailed reports on progress to demonstrate the impact of initiatives. Develops ongoing customer-satisfaction surveys for programs and training; monitors responses and provides detailed analysis and quarterly recommendations. 20% - Risk Services Program Coordination and Support Provides risk-analysis support to Risk Services programs, including Workers' Compensation, Risk Control, and Driver Safety. Conducts thorough assessments to identify high-risk areas and activities. Supports Risk Services initiatives. Assists with implementing risk-control programs and strategies to reduce compliance risks and litigation. Required Qualifications Advanced knowledge of non-occupational disability-management practices. Demonstrated knowledge of occupational disability-management. Working knowledge of medical terminology and medical reports and their implications for reasonable accommodation and placement. Proven organizational skills and excellent attention to detail. Excellent writing skills with the ability to produce clear, well-documented correspondence, procedures, and publications. Advanced computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite, Google Suite, and the ability to learn and utilize a case-management information system. Ability to maintain highly confidential information; maintain high ethical standards. Ability to manage multiple priorities/projects simultaneously and deliver quality results within deadlines. Proven ability to use critical thinking and analytical skills to solve problems. Demonstrated political acumen and ability to interact in a positive and professional manner with all levels of personnel within the organization. Ability to work successfully as an effective member of a team. Proven ability to provide complex data analysis, including year-over-year comparison reports. Class?

C license with regular driving between Scotts Valley and UCSC's main and satellite campuses. Preferred Qualifications Certified Professional in Disability Management (CPDM). California Department of Insurance License (property and liability). Completion of an insurance-related course such as WCCA 10 or equivalent Workers' Compensation training. Ability to communicate in Spanish. Demonstrated skills to develop course materials effectively for diverse populations. Knowledge of general risk-management policies and procedures. General understanding of insurance, liability, and exposures. Previous risk-related higher-education experience. Special Conditions of Employment Selected candidate must pass a pre-employment criminal history background check. Must pass the employment misconduct disclosure process. Must possess a valid California Driver's License and participate in the DMV pull-notice program. Ability to work long periods at a computer with or without accommodation. The selected candidate will be required to work all scheduled hours on-site. Ability to work occasional evenings and weekends as directed. Selected candidate will be required to complete training within established time frames, including UC compliance training. Ability to travel to multiple work locations on and off campus. Ability to maintain suitable appearance and conduct for a professional setting. Compliance with the University of California vaccine program.
