Job Description The Independent Risk Review and Assessment (IRRA) organization in Risk Management & Compliance (RM&C) serves as U.S. Bank's independent second line of defense, providing objective assessments of the effectiveness of the Bank's Risk Management framework across credit, compliance, and operational risks. The Independent Assessment and Modernization team within the IRRA Program Office is seeking a Review Enablement Lead Analyst to support the advancement of IRRA's review capabilities. This role partners closely with IRRA teams to identify, design, and implement data-enabled, technology-driven review enhancements, including system-driven testing and automation. The Lead Analyst will also support broader process improvement initiatives that enhance review quality, efficiency, and consistency. This role operates with a high degree of autonomy and is accountable for advancing IRRA review methodologies and enablement practices in partnership with leadership. Key Responsibilities Identify review requirements and processes suitable for system-driven testing, including automated and data-driven testing approaches. Partner with data analysts and cross-functional stakeholders to understand underlying data sources, validate data integrity, and execute system-driven testing to support review conclusions. Provide data testing results in a clear, and useful manner, to support review conclusions. Identify control, process, and data weaknesses and support root cause analysis and inform remediation insights. Lead and support initiatives to enhance IRRA review methodologies and enablement capabilities through the use of data, analytics, and enabling technologies. Provide guidance, coaching, and feedback to Analysts, ensuring consistency and adherence to IRRA standards. Manage multiple initiatives simultaneously, prioritizing work based on evolving organizational goals and risk priorities with limited direction. Contribute to operational excellence by supporting process improvement efforts that improve review efficiency, consistency, and effectiveness. Basic Qualifications Bachelor's degree, or equivalent work experience Typically more than six years of applicable experience Preferred Skills/Experience Experience in data analysis, process facilitation and project management. Strong understanding of financial services, risk management, including regulatory compliance requirements, operational and credit risk assessment, and regulatory trends. Advanced knowledge of business line operations, products, systems, and associated risks. Familiarity with data procurement. analysis, and reporting tools (e.g. SQL, SAS, Python, Power BI, Tableau) preferred but not required. Demonstrated ability to work independently with minimal guidance while collaborating effectively across teams. Strong analytical, critical thinking, and problem-solving capabilities. Excellent written, verbal, interpersonal, and presentation skills. Proficient with Microsoft Office tools, particularly Excel. Relevant professional certifications (e.g., CRCM, CAMS, CIA) preferred. Location Expectations The role offers a hybrid/flexible schedule, which means there's an in-office expectation of 3 or more days per week and the flexibility to work outside the office location for the other days. Pay Range:
$105,400.00 - $124,000.00 U.S. Bank will consider qualified applicants with arrest or conviction records for employment. U.S. Bank conducts background checks consistent with applicable local laws, including the Los Angeles County Fair Chance Ordinance and the California Fair Chance Act as well as the San Francisco Fair Chance Ordinance. U.S. Bank is subject to, and conducts background checks consistent with the requirements of Section 19 of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act (FDIA).
