Job Description

About this role: Wells Fargo is seeking a Lead Fiduciary Risk & Controls Consultant to support the development, implementation, and oversight of fiduciary risk management and business control practices. This role is responsible for leading complex initiatives, strengthening the control environment, and ensuring alignment with regulatory requirements and enterprise risk standards In this role, you will: Lead complex initiatives with broad impact which are designed to mitigate current and emerging business and fiduciary risk issues and concerns; act as key participant in large-scale projects for the business Assess, analyze, and design complex and multi-faceted controls, protocols, and approaches with respect to risk mitigation and the control environment, including ensuring effective planning for sustainability, ongoing control adherence, reporting, measurement, technology impacts, and monitoring Make decisions in complex and multifaceted situations requiring solid understanding of business's functional area or products, operations, and regulatory environment; facilitate decision-making and issue resolution, and support implementation of developed solutions and plans; influence and lead key business partners to meet deliverables and drive new initiatives Strategically collaborate and consult with peers, colleagues, and mid to senior-level managers to identify current and emerging risks associated with business activities and operations, and provide guidance in interpreting, developing, and implementing risk-mitigating strategies Act as liaison for the business with external parties to support timeliness, appropriate response strategy, and effectiveness of communications and materials Lead projects, workstreams, or initiatives, and provide mentorship or guidance to peers
Required Qualifications:
5+ years of fiduciary risk management, business controls, quality assurance, business operations, compliance, or process experience, or equivalent demonstrated through one or a combination of the following: work experience, training, education
Desired Qualifications:
Certified Trust and Fiduciary Advisor (CTFA) designation Juris Doctor (JD) or relevant legal/regulatory experience Experience supporting regulatory exams, audits, or remediation programs Experience bringing issues to closure in a decisive manner despite potential obstacles within a complex environment Ability to make timely and independent judgment decisions while working in a fast-paced and results-driven environment Ability to assess current processes/procedures and make recommendations for efficiency Experience developing partnerships and collaborating with other business and functional areas Experience resolving and working through escalated and complex issues Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

Ability to work in a fast-paced, highly regulated environment Strong attention to detail and commitment to risk management and compliance standards Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver on deadlines Collaboration across business lines and functional partners Specific compliance policies may apply regarding outside activities and/or personal investing; affected employees will be expected to provide information to the Wells Fargo Personal Account Dealing Team and abide by applicable policy requirements if hired. Pay may vary depending on factors including but not limited to demonstrated examples of prior performance, skills, experience, or work location.
