As the Nurse Director of Risk and Quality Management, the Risk and Quality Management division champions patient safety, quality management, infection prevention, and compliance through real-time analytics, high-reliability practices, and continuous improvement across inpatient, ambulatory, and virtual settings, while being recognized for excellence in areas such as heart failure, stroke care, heart attack, diabetes, COPD, and pulmonology that reflect a deep commitment to measurable outcomes and trusted community care.
The Nursing Director of Risk Management will report to senior Quality and Patient Safety leadership with matrixed support from Infection Prevention, Compliance, Legal/Risk Financing, and Clinical Operations, and will lead a talented team of risk managers, patient safety specialists, quality analysts, and educators while collaborating with friendly nurses, a diverse interprofessional team, and respected physician and APP partners to drive enterprise risk programs, event reporting and analysis, root cause analyses and HFMEA, Just Culture and HRO practices, claims and risk financing coordination, regulatory readiness for The Joint Commission and CMS, policy oversight, enterprise dashboards, and safety huddles that keep patients and staff protected every day.
