What you'll do The Director, Insider Risk & Investigations serves as Viasat's Insider Threat Program Manager and leads a specialized team responsible for developing and executing the company's insider risk and threat strategy across both physical and cybersecurity domains. This role provides executive-level leadership across physical and cyber domains, overseeing insider risk governance, detection strategy, investigative oversight, and regulatory compliance. The Director ensures the organization maintains a legally defensible, scalable, and mature insider threat program that protects national security interests, intellectual property, and corporate assets. The day-to-day Ensure alignment with NISPOM and DCSA insider threat compliance standards. Lead periodic program reviews, audits, and regulatory reporting requirements. Align insider threat initiatives with broader enterprise risk management and security strategy. Ensure investigations are conducted with appropriate legal, HR, and privacy safeguards. What you'll need 10+ years in insider threat, corporate investigations, cybersecurity, intelligence, or related fields. Expertise with DCSA insider threat requirements. Proven experience handling sensitive investigations and engaging with executive leadership. Strong judgment, discretion, and communication skills. Ability to lead cross‑functional efforts. Strong presence with the ability to influence at senior levels. Ability to translate complex risk into concise, actionable executive briefings. What will help you on the job US Secret clearance Salary range $162,000.00 - $255,500.00 / annually. For specific work locations within San Jose, the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, the base pay range for this role is $201,000.00- $302,000.00/ annually At Viasat, we consider many factors when it comes to compensation, including the scope of the position as well as your background and experience. Base pay may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience.
