Temporary, Contract Position Title:
Senior Resource Specialist•
Energy Risk Management Location:
Los Angeles, CA 90012 (Hybrid)

6-Month Contract | Mon-Fri |
Alternating Fridays Off Key Responsibilities:
Manage Energy Risk Management (ERM) activities for Power, Natural Gas, and Renewables markets Develop and maintain ETRM workflows and systems Perform VaR, Mark-to-Market (MtM), Monte Carlo simulations, and stress testing Monitor trading activities, hedging strategies, and risk limits Validate forward price curves and manage portfolio exposure Create automated risk dashboards and executive reports Lead Risk Oversight Committee meetings and ensure compliance with risk policies Collaborate with middle/back office teams for settlements and data integrity Utilize automation, AI tools, and analytics to improve efficiency
Required Qualifications:
10+ years of energy industry experience in Energy Risk Management Strong knowledge of Power, Natural Gas, and Renewable Energy markets Experience with ETRM systems, risk modeling, VaR, MtM, and stress testing Master's or PhD in Mathematics, Quantitative Finance, Economics, Statistics, Data Science, or related field preferred Excellent analytical, communication, and project management skills Local Southern California candidates preferred No H1B sponsorship available if you have strong quantitative risk management expertise in the energy trading industry.
Pay:
$76.15•$84.71 per hour
