Experience in trust and safety or fraud management, including detection, attribution, or disruption of financial threats.
Preferred qualifications:
5 years of experience managing cross-functional or cross-team projects. Experience with fraud process automation and AI or agentic implementations. Experience leading active incident management response and coordinating cross-functional mitigations. As a Program Manager at Google, you'll lead complex, multi-disciplinary projects from start to finish — working with stakeholders to plan requirements, manage project schedules, identify risks, and communicate clearly with cross-functional partners across the company. Your projects will often span offices, time zones, and hemispheres. It's your job to coordinate the players and keep them up to date on progress and deadlines. The Loss Management and Fraud Prevention team operates as a continuous system optimization loop, balancing ML based product innovation with the need to outsmart persistent fraudsters. In this role, you will solve problems levering AI solutions across product, process, and technology. AI and agentic automation will enable you to scale the breadth and depth of fraud and abuse prevention, detection, and mitigation. Google Store is our omnichannel, global retailer, leveraging the best of Google to help customers experience our award-winning devices and services. Our team is responsible for a vast portfolio that supports the entire customer journey, from product discovery to upgrading their next device. This portfolio includes the My Pixel app distributed with every Pixel phone, the Google Store global eCommerce platform, our leading edge retail point-of-sale system, and AI-driven algorithms for customer lifecycle management. The Store team applies Google's AI to solve complex, real-world problems across our growing global footprint of online and brick-and-mortar storefronts. This ranges from AI-enhanced site operations to agentic AI shopping assistance, ensuring a seamless and intelligent experience at every touchpoint. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $159,000-$231,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. Responsibilities Manage the operational health of manual review tools and partner with scaled operations teams to define workflows, deliver essential tooling, and set clear performance expectations. Scale and improve fraud reporting, monitoring, and alerting across critical vectors by deploying AI and agentic implementations to enhance existing processes and build proactive defenses. Lead cross-functional launch execution and readiness reviews to safeguard and de-risk operations during hardware New Product Introductions (NPIs). Manage active incidents from detection to long-term resolution by coordinating cross-functional teams, communicating risks to leadership, implementing immediate mitigations, and building preventative solutions. Drive the integration of fraud considerations and risk forecasts into global business planning to implement advanced telemetry and optimize risk tracking frameworks.
