- Risk and Compliance Associate.
- As a Principal Risk and Compliance Associate in Central Services, you'll play a key role in ensuring that our broader GWS organization remains well-managed and in compliance with organizational, enterprise, and legal requirements.

Key Responsibilities:
- + •Build relationships and collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders across multiple departments to understand processes and drive results•+ •Proactively manage risk management initiatives, tasks, and activities in order to reduce the residual risk within the business•+ •Provide risk advice and guidance to business areas, as required•+ •Execute deliverables that support internal governance processes•+ •Act as issue manager on events and issues related to the business, including project management of remediation activities•+ •Monitor for new applicable laws and implement processes / procedures to comply•+ •Coordinate the delivery of materials requested in audits and exams, coordinating with various stakeholders across the lines of defense•+ •Participate in and execute other special projects for the team on an as needed basis•
Basic Qualifications:
- + •Bachelor's Degree or military experience•+ •At least 3 years of risk management experience•+ •At least 3 years of experience in organizational strategy, project management, or business analytics•
Preferred Qualifications:
- + •At least 4 years of experience in Risk Management, Compliance, or Audit•+ •At least 3 years of physical security or corporate real estate experience•+ •At least 1 year of experience working in Governance Risk and Compliance applications•+ •At least 4 years of experience in creating and maintaining information in Microsoft Office (PowerPoint, Excel, and Word) or Google Suite (Slides, Sheets, and Docs)•+ •Certified Public Accountant (CPA), Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), or Project Management Professional (PMP)•At this time, Capital One will not sponsor a new applicant for employment authorization for this position.

$109,900- $125,400 for
Principal Risk Specialist McLean, VA:
$120,800- $137,900 for
Principal Risk Specialist Richmond, VA:
$109,900- $125,400 for
Principal Risk Specialist New York, NY:
$131,800- $150,500 for Principal Risk Specialist Candidates hired to work in other locations will be subject to the pay range associated with that location, and the actual annualized salary amount offered to any candidate at the time of hire will be reflected solely in the candidate's offer letter.
