Job Description

The Team The mission of Quality and Risk Management (QRM) is to manage the risk in our growing and increasingly complex business to improve financial performance and protect the firm's assets and reputation. The Quality Program team sits within QRM and supports delivery quality by providing objective, timely, and actionable feedback to engagement teams and facilitating the identification of systemic quality issues across Industries and Offering Portfolios (OP). Recruiting for this role ends on 08/01/2026. Work you'll do The Quality Excellence Leader plays a critical role in promoting client service delivery by driving operational excellence and innovation within the firm's Quality Program. They will oversee continuous improvement initiatives, leverage analytics to proactively identify risk trends, and partner with Quality and Risk Leaders to monitor delivery quality. There will be a focus on identifying emerging risks and promoting a culture of accountability and risk awareness. They will own and evolve the Quality Program operating model and risk intelligence product suite, ensuring scaled adoption and measurable impact across OP / Industry leadership. Core responsibilities for the role include: Risk Analytics & Insights Establish the team's strategic risk analytics objectives in alignment with QRM and Business priorities, providing clear direction, expert guidance, and hands-on support to ensure the effective design and deployment of analytic tools and methodologies Accountable for the quality risk intelligence "product suite" (e.g., portfolio heatmaps, leading indicators, etc.) and its sustained adoption by Quality and Risk stakeholders Translate complex findings into business-relevant insights and facilitate knowledge sharing Empower leaders with actionable insights and tools to drive adoption and effectively monitor portfolio health Strategic Initiatives Lead strategic initiatives to identify new or heightened risks facing the practice, leveraging cross-functional teams as needed Partner with Quality and Risk Leaders to pilot and implement new risk frameworks, technologies, or processes in response to the business's strategy and the evolving market landscape Provide Quality and Risk Leaders with timely, executive-level risk assessments and strategic insights that highlight key exposures and opportunities for strengthening risk posture Quality Program Oversight & Continuous Improvement Own the Quality Program governance, infrastructure, performance management, and escalation model (e.g., Quality Program activities, controls, metrics, and decision cadences), ensuring execution is delivered through designated process owners and remains aligned to business objectives and evolving risk standards Keep a pulse on OP / Industry quality objectives and challenges and serve as a trusted advisor among Quality and Risk Leaders Facilitate periodic quality forums, update sessions, and knowledge-sharing initiatives among Quality and Risk Leaders, driving decisions and follow-through A successful candidate will possess these skills: Executive presence, influence, and stakeholder management, with the ability to build trust with PPMDs, Quality and Risk Leaders, and cross-functional stakeholders and to present complex issues and recommendations in ways that drive alignment, decisions, and accountability Strategic problem-solving and operational excellence, including the ability to assess complex quality and risk issues, translating complex data into clear, executive-ready insights that drive decision-making and portfolio health monitoring Governance, reporting, and continuous improvement, with experience designing and scaling governance models, escalation frameworks, performance metrics, executive reporting, dashboards, and leading indicator frameworks Change leadership and adoption, with demonstrated ability piloting, scaling, and driving adoption of new technologies, tools, process, and quality frameworks across senior business, operational, and QRM stakeholders
Qualifications:
Required:
Bachelor's degree in business, finance, analytics, risk management, or a related field 10+ years of experience in quality management, risk management, operations, program management, or strategy Experience using analytics, reporting, and data visualization tools, including Power BI, Tableau, Alteryx, SQL, and Microsoft Excel Ability to travel up to 25%, on average, based on the work you do and the clients and industries/sectors you serve. Must be legally authorized to work in the United States without the need for employer sponsorship, now or at any time in the future.
Preferred:
Advanced degree in business, analytics, risk management, public policy, or a related field Familiarity with process improvement methodologies such as Lean Six Sigma or similar continuous improvement approaches PMP certification Lean Six Sigma certification The wage range for this role takes into account the wide range of factors that are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to: skill sets; experience and training; licensure and certifications; and other business and organizational needs. The disclosed range estimate has not been adjusted for the applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. At Deloitte, it is not typical for an individual to be hired at or near the top of the range for their role, and compensation decisions are dependent on the facts and circumstances of each case. A reasonable estimate of the current range is $148,200-$292,300. You may also be eligible to participate in a discretionary annual incentive program, subject to the rules governing the program, whereby an award, if any, depends on various factors, including, without limitation, individual and organizational performance.
