DQM Role:
We are seeking a highly qualified Director of Quality Risk Management (DQM) to join our leadership team at Landmark Hospital of Columbia, a long-term acute/critical care hospital. As the Director of Quality, you will be responsible for ensuring that our organization complies with all regulatory requirements and industry standards. You will lead the development and implementation of risk management strategies, policies, and procedures to minimize potential risks and ensure the safety of our patients and staff. Additionally, you will oversee the quality improvement program, including data analysis, performance improvement initiatives, and staff education and training. This role has a HUGE impact on the quality and consistency of patient care and also ensures our staff operates efficiently in a well-trained, compliant environment. The Director of Quality and Risk Management is responsible for : Developing and implementing patient safety initiatives Assuring the success of continuous quality enhancement initiatives inter-and intra-departmentally Developing a proactive risk management program, and overseeing an effective infection prevention and control, and employee health program Appropriate use of quality tools (root cause analysis, failure mode and effects analysis, statistical process control, and other statistical methods) to guide process improvement Help problem-solve and benchmark appropriately to ensure a highly reliable organization The Quality role assures compliance with regulatory and accreditation standards and ensures they are continually upheld. The Director will be responsible for planning, developing, implementing, administering, evaluating, and continually enhancing policies, procedures, and practices for each functional area. Alternatively, a 2-year Associate degree with 5+ years of relevant experience in Quality, Risk, or Infection Control 3+ years of experience in quality, infection control, or risk management in a healthcare setting (hospital experience preferred) Active clinical license (such as RN or RT) - strong preference for Registered Nurse background CIHQ IC or
CIHQ-HACP-CMS
certification or equivalent (or commitment to obtain within 2 years) Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements and industry standards. Investigation and root-cause analysis experience Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills. Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions. Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology.
Key Competencies include:
Deep clinical competency/skills - strong preference for experience with ICU/CCU care and nursing skills Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills - ability to lead and influence others to achieve strategic objectives and process improvements Ability to analyze data, identify trends, and implement effective solutions in complex situations Ability to handle difficult situations in a professional manner Experience with electronic health records (EHR) and other healthcare technology.
