Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in human services or business field OR 3 years of related experience At least 1 year of experience in Incident Management/Risk Management (preferred) Experience in quantitative analysis and reporting (preferred)
Required Knowledge & Skills:
Understanding of participant risk: What causes participant risk and how it is identified Risk management principles and application at case and system level Population-based evidence approaches Basic statistics and statistical analysis Basic epidemiology concepts Ability to chart and graph data Advanced computer skills (Microsoft Office, statistical software) Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills Role Overview (Critical Incident Management Unit, OLTL): Ensures quality Home and Community-Based Services (HCBS) for participants under CHC and FFS programs Reviews, investigates, and addresses incidents affecting participant health, safety, and welfare Supports alignment with Money Follows the Person (MFP) initiatives
Key Duties:
Conduct case and record reviews; provide technical assistance to MCOs, SCEs, providers, and agencies Coordinate with state protective services, MCOs, and internal teams on case reviews and corrective actions Manage protective service "report of need" notifications for program participants/providers Support mortality reviews with clinical staff (request/review data, track follow-ups) Perform trend and data analysis; compare findings with national and state mortality statistics Develop prevention and training recommendations based on analysis findings Liaise with law enforcement and Attorney General's office on abuse/neglect cases Ensure data integrity and coordinate record corrections Participate in IT system design and user acceptance testing (UAT) Analyze incident data and generate ongoing reports Use systems like EIM, HCSIS, WellSky, and CIS/eCIS Communicate with waiver program representatives (FFS/CHC) Develop tracking systems for health and welfare outcome patterns Participate in committees, workgroups, and projects related to incident/risk management
