We are looking for a proactive and creative Senior FinTech Credit Analyst to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment. As part of our underwriting team, you will leverage your expertise and knowledge to help us determine applicant credit decisions, the validity of information in question, and the review of supporting documentation. The ideal candidate is a critical thinker, highly analytical, and a driven problem-solver. The candidate should also be passionate about innovation, the client-experience, and collaborating with our Risk, Senior Management, and Engineering teams to maximize revenue. Duties and Responsibility As part of the underwriting team, understand and shape credit policy to support the Company vision and third-party loan purchasers. Gain a full understanding of the technology and processes that drives the business, including but not limited to loan input provider portals, websites, mobile app origination process and ongoing loan servicing. Review, analyze, and evaluate consumer & commercial loan application data in our database to validate that they have been handled according to credit policy, procedures, and that of our underwriting decision engine, as well as risk mitigation techniques. This would include approvals, declines, and counteroffers. Analyze and investigate loan applicant's information in response to alerts from credit and fraud services where certain information cannot be confirmed or does not match the verification database. This would also include all consumer statements and any credit freezes that may be in place on a credit report. Direct contact with the applicant may be necessary to address questions. Analyze and calculate documentation that is provided to verify the applicant's income, research commercial websites (e.g., secretary of state, NPI records, and the like) to validate business information. This may include the review of tax returns, and other business documentation as needed. Responsible for receiving communications with applicants and referral partners as needed to answer questions or obtain additional information. Ability to support team with research and responses to internal/external audits and other projects as they arise. Perform other duties as assigned. Minimum Experience Requirements Five plus years of experience and full understanding of credit risk and merchant risk in these point-of-sale verticals: Home Improvement, Dental, Medical, Auto Repair or Device Purchase Advanced Microsoft Office skills, specifically Excel (including creation of pivot tables, logic functions, data tables and regression analysis), PowerPoint, and Word Building, improving, or analyzing risk management strategies for an unsecured consumer or small business lending product Utilizing knowledge of U.S. credit bureau data, risk scorecards, and debt service coverage ratios Knowledge of cashflow underwriting and artificial intelligence modeling Managing several projects simultaneously and driving end-to-end project delivery Previous experience building credit strategy for digital acquisition channels Visualizing complex data analyses and communicating to a wide variety of audiences Developing policy and procedures documentation for credit risk strategy execution Developing and automating quality control process to ensure intended execution of credit strategies Fair understanding of income and debt relationship in the context of credit underwriting that includes but not limited to design income verification requirementsNOTE:
