Job Description

Institutional Trader / Paraplanner We are seeking a detail-oriented and driven Institutional Trader / Paraplanner to join a growing wealth management team in Scottsdale. This role plays a critical part in supporting advisors through trading execution, portfolio management, and financial planning operations. The ideal candidate is analytical, tech-savvy, and thrives in a fast-paced, client-focused environment. Key Responsibilities Trading & Portfolio Management Execute equity, ETF, mutual fund, and fixed income trades across client portfolios Monitor portfolios for rebalancing opportunities and model alignment Ensure timely and accurate trade execution while maintaining compliance standards Assist with portfolio construction and implementation of investment strategies
Advisor Support:
Conduct data gathering, account analysis, and scenario modeling Support advisors in client meetings and follow-up action items Maintain accurate client records and documentation within CRM systems
Operations & Compliance:
Ensure adherence to firm policies, regulatory requirements, and trading procedures Assist with account opening, transfers, and maintenance requests Coordinate with custodians and internal teams to resolve issues efficiently
Qualifications:
2+ years of experience in trading, paraplanning, or financial services Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, or related field preferred Experience with trading platforms and portfolio management systems Strong understanding of financial markets, asset allocation, and investment products Proficiency in financial planning software (e.g., eMoney, MoneyGuidePro) is a plus Highly detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational skills Excellent communication and client service mindset
Required:
FINRA licenses (Series 7, 63/65 or 66) Experience working within an RIA or institutional wealth management firm
