Cattlenomics is a commodity brokerage and cattle market consulting firm that focuses on feedlots, small packing plants, and beef market participants. We have an exciting opportunity for a Commodity Broker in our Loveland, Colorado office. The ideal candidate will be dynamic, entrepreneurial, and passionate about the agricultural and financial markets. The ideal broker will be personable, tenacious, and a natural networker, having a proactive approach to generating leads and securing new business. The main purpose of this position is to support existing customers of Cattlenomics, LLC., and to develop new accounts. Key responsibilities: Promote Cattlenomics, provide market intelligence and analysis to clients, Identify and arrange trades or hedges that suit the client's needs, Create and maintain relationships with potential customers, other brokers, market analysts, and traders to improve market knowledge, Maintain and enhance existing client relationships, making regular contact while tracking cattle & feed inventories, Proactively solicit engagement from industry participants via trade calls, surveys, industry events, trade shows, and conferences. Identify and seize new business opportunities relating to trends, futures markets, products, and clients, On-board new clients following approved compliance and operations procedures, Regularly assess client needs and financial conditions to identify opportunities, Perform other reasonable duties as required to meet company goals and objectives,Core Competencies/Skills:
Must possess, or be able to promptly obtain, a Series 3 license, Possess knowledge of agricultural products and markets, Strong client focus; personable and engaging, while building relationships and networks wherever possible, Communicate effectively with clients and colleagues, Team-oriented; works well with others and can perform tasks that support team initiatives within diverse environment groups/personalities, Excellent attention to detail, strong analytical and numeracy skills, Ability to use Microsoft Office products and other software as required, A degree in Agriculture, Mathematics, or Economics is preferred.
