Key Responsibility This is a role to manages complex tax compliance, drives strategic tax planning, and ensures corporate adherence to local, state, federal, and international tax laws. This role collaborates cross-functionally with accounting and legal teams to minimize tax liabilities, mitigate risks, and manage tax reporting. Tax Responsibilities 1. Tax Preparation and Reporting Manage tax compliance activities, including preparation for Federal, states and local tax Coordinate with tax firm, Review, prepare and organize documentation required for tax filings to ensure compliance with US tax regulations. Communicate with Federal, State and local tax authorities and help maintain positive working relationships. Proactively track tax filing status, follow up on open items, and drive issues to closure, ensuring no missed deadlines or unresolved tax matters, including tax audit. 2. Tax Policy Research, Compliance & Planning Continuously monitor changes in relevant states and local tax laws and IRS federal tax regulations, assessing their impact on the company's operations, react timely and properly (including but not limited to proper apply for and enjoy applicable tax incentive). Responsible for tax obligation analysis, identifying state and local nexus issues, and managing tax risks (including but not limited to tax registration, tax filing and payment, etc.). Analyze historic and projected financial data to provide ongoing tax strategies, identifying deductions, credits, and savings opportunities. 3. Tax Workpapers & Documentation Management Establish and maintain a comprehensive tax document management system, including supporting documents, filing receipts, and tax payment records. 4. Other Business assistance from tax perspective Assist in reviewing contracts from a tax perspective and respond to internal tax-related inquiries from cross-functional teams. Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and accurate competition of tax engagements.
Qualifications & Requirements Education:
A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
Experience:
10+ years of applicable corporate tax or public accounting experience.
Technical Knowledge :
Strong understanding of
US GAAP, ASC
740, and multi-state/global taxation regulation.
Software Skills:
Advanced proficiency in Excel, SAP, and tax preparation or provision software.
Certificate:
Certified Public accountant or Enrolled Agent license. Work Environment & Physical Requirements Regular, predictable on-site attendance is an essential function of this role. Ability to move throughout offices, manufacturing facilities, and construction areas, including walking, standing, bending, kneeling, and climbing stairs or ladders. Ability to work in varied environments, including offices, industrial, and construction settings. Willingness to travel to other job sites as business needs require.
