Job Description

Job Summary A well-established and growing public accounting firm in Tucson, AZ is seeking an experienced Tax Specialist to join its collaborative tax team. This direct hire opportunity is ideal for a CPA, EA, or certification-track tax professional who enjoys working with a diverse client base and handling complex tax matters across individual, business, trust, and estate taxation. The Tax Specialist will play an important role in delivering accurate, timely, and client-focused tax services while serving as a trusted resource for both clients and internal team members. Key Responsibilities
  • Prepare federal and multi-state income tax returns for individuals, businesses, trusts, and estates.
  • Assist with quarterly tax planning, tax projections, and year-round advisory support for business and individual clients.
  • Review financial statements, accounting records, and supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness prior to tax preparation.
  • Research tax issues, resolve discrepancies, and maintain compliance with applicable federal, state, and local tax laws.
  • Communicate with taxing authorities on behalf of clients regarding notices, questions, and other tax matters.
  • Serve as a knowledgeable tax resource for clients and internal staff while supporting a high standard of client service. Compensation and Benefits
  • Salary range: $70,000 to $80,000 per year.
  • Direct hire opportunity.
  • Full-time schedule, Monday through Friday.
  • Additional hours may be required during peak tax periods.
