January-April Tax Professionals for the upcoming tax season. A Typical Day As a Tax Associate with H&R Block, you'll be supported by an experienced team and provided with the training you need to succeed. You'll enjoy flexibility, opportunities to grow your expertise, and the chance to help clients feel confident about their taxes. What You'll Bring to the Role Conduct tax interviews with clients in person and through virtual tools (video, phone, chat, and email) Prepare complete and accurate individual tax returns Generate business growth, increase client retention, and recommend additional products and services Provide IRS support to clients Support office priorities through teamwork and collaboration Continuously grow your tax knowledge and expertise Your Qualifications Successful completion of the H&R Block Income Tax Course (ITC) or Tax Knowledge Assessment Ability to work in a fast‑paced environment Comfortable using virtual tools (video, phone, chat) Strong communication skills—verbal and written High school diploma or equivalent (or higher) Must meet all IRS and applicable state requirements Preferred (But Not Required) Bachelor's degree in accounting or a related field Previous customer service or retail experience Experience working in a supportive, fast‑paced environment Ability to work 30-35 hours per week throughout tax season and up to 40 hours during peak weeks Schedule Requirements Day, night, and weekend availability required Training Program Information ITC classes launching mid‑August Virtual and self‑study options available Required ITC enrollment fee: 149. Program Requirements Completion of required ITC coursework or Valid CTEC license Background check / Live Scan Must be current on all tax filing requirements Interview and hiring process required
