Tax Senior Tax Senior Location:
Mission Viejo, CA (
Hybrid:
2 days in office)
Compensation:
$80,000 - $120,000 + Performance Bonuses The Role We are seeking a Tax Senior to join our established South Orange County firm. At the core of our practice is a commitment to the "Long-Term View." We don't just process returns; we serve as year-round advocates for our clients, helping them navigate the complexities of tax law to achieve their multi-generational financial goals. In this role, you will execute complex compliance work and serve as a key pillar in delivering precise, proactive service.
Key Responsibilities Tax Compliance & Review:
Prepare and perform initial reviews of sophisticated tax returns for high-net-worth individuals, corporations, partnerships, and trusts.
Planning & Consulting:
Support complex tax planning engagements that align with long-term wealth preservation and business growth strategies.
Research & Resolution:
Conduct technical tax research to address intricate tax matters and assist with IRS or state audit responses.
Workflow Coordination:
Act as a project lead on engagements, ensuring deadlines are met and files are structured cleanly for manager review.
Staff Mentorship:
Provide guidance, technical support, and constructive feedback to staff accountants.
Requirements Experience:
3+ years of progressive public accounting experience, with a heavy focus on tax compliance and planning for HNWIs and small-to-medium businesses.
Education:
CPA license active or actively tracking toward completion.
Skills:
Strong analytical abilities, clear communication skills, and proficiency with modern tax research and preparation software.
