Job Description
We are seeking a talented Tax Associate to support the STIIIZY Accounting & Tax Department by assisting with tax compliance, reporting, and related accounting functions. While the primary focus of this role is Tax Associate, the successful candidate may also cross-train in other positions within the department based on organizational needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Assists with the preparation of federal, state, and local tax filings and supporting schedules. Compiles, organizes, and maintains tax documentation and financial records.
Prepares workpapers and reconciliations to support tax reporting and compliance.
Assists with sales and use tax, property tax, and other indirect tax filings as assigned.
Supports month-end and year-end tax close activities.
Maintains accurate tax records and responds to requests for supporting documentation.
Utilizes accounting and tax software to prepare reports, analyze data, and maintain records.
Performs work under direct supervision.
Handles basic issues and problems and refers more complex issues to higher-level staff.
Performs other duties as needed in support of business objectives assigned by supervisor, including leading projects.

Education & Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field required.
CPA certification or CPA eligibility preferred.3-5+ years of experience in tax, public accounting, or corporate tax.
Experience preparing federal, state, and local tax filings and supporting tax compliance activitiesStrong proficiency with Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting systems required.
Experience with Indica Online is a plus.
Requirements:
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Available for on-site operations Monday-Friday.
Work revolves around objectives, projects, and priorities- not hours; must be able to work weekends and holidays as needed.
Must be able to push, pull, move, and/or lift a minimum of 15 lbs. to a minimum height of 5 feet and able to push, pull, move, and/or carry such weight a minimum distance of 50 feet.
Prolonged periods of standing, sitting at a desk, and working on a computerMust be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.
Ability to get in and out of vehicle and walk up and down stairs during your shift.
Must be able to stand, sit for prolonged periods of time, bend, kneel, squat, and twist.
Lifting and transporting of moderately heavy objects, such as computers and peripheral.
