US Corporate Tax & Project Consultant (Contract) Location Hybrid preferred - San Carlos, CA (Tues-Thurs onsite) Position Type Contract/ interim 20-30 hours/week, flexible with potential to scale Initial 3-month engagement with extension potential. Overview Hands-on tax consultant to support a lean tax function. This role blends U.S. corporate tax execution with strong project management, owning deliverables, managing timelines, and reducing bandwidth constraints at the leadership level. Responsibilities Support U.S. corporate income tax (compliance, provision, disclosures) Assist with R D tax credit projects Support sales/indirect tax initiatives Contribute to transfer pricing efforts Assist with Section 382 / NOL analyses Manage multiple tax-related projects end-to-end (timelines, coordination, execution) Partner cross-functionally and with external advisors Requirements Strong U.S. corporate tax experience (hands-on) Experience with R D credits, sales tax, and tax projects Proven project management and ability to juggle priorities Background in biotech, pharma, or health tech preferred Experience with NetSuite; SAP exposure a plus Profile Execution-oriented and self-directed Comfortable in a fast-paced, evolving environment Able to scale up/down and pivot across priorities About Korn Ferry Korn Ferry unleashes potential in people, teams, and organizations.
