Full-Time Direct Hire ?? $95,000 - $110,000 + Bonus ?? 37.5-hour work week About the Opportunity This role is ideal for an experienced tax professional who enjoys high-level technical work, meaningful client interaction, and strategic tax planning—without the demanding hours typical of traditional public accounting. You'll focus on reviewing and preparing tax returns for high-net-worth individuals and related entities, while playing a key role in tax planning and ongoing client support. This position offers a sustainable pace, a collaborative environment, and the opportunity to do thoughtful, high-quality work year-round. What You'll Do Review federal and state tax returns, including Forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, and 1041 Identify technical issues, inconsistencies, and tax risks Provide clear, actionable feedback to preparers Prepare complex individual and entity tax returns as needed Support tax planning strategies alongside advisory team members Develop and review tax projections to help clients plan effectively Respond to client inquiries with clear, practical guidance Conduct tax research and resolve technical questions Mentor junior team members and support their development Contribute to process improvements that enhance efficiency and quality Maintain high standards in documentation, compliance, and review What We're Looking For 4-6 years of public accounting tax experience Active CPA or EA required Strong experience with Forms 1040, 1120S, 1065, and 1041 Solid knowledge of federal and multi-state tax compliance Experience with tax planning and client advisory work Strong analytical skills and professional judgment Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal Ability to explain complex tax concepts clearly Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple deadlines Comfortable working in a collaborative, in-office environment
Preferred:
Experience with high-net-worth clients and closely held businesses Prior experience reviewing work and mentoring staff Interest in improving workflows and team processes Familiarity with professional tax software Why This Role Matters You'll play a key role in strengthening the tax team by contributing technical expertise, supporting client relationships, and maintaining high standards of quality.
