This is a Tax Specialist I position in the General Tax Administration Program, Receivables Management, Field Operations - Collection Process, located in the Tallahassee Capital Circle Office Complex. The incumbent provides guidance on Florida tax statutes and Department policies and procedures by responding to phone inquiries relating to outstanding liabilities and obligations, analyzing and reviewing tax situations, Department records, court orders, returns, and related documents; determining tax liabilities, filing claims in the bankruptcy court, and collecting pre-petition and post-petition liabilities. Additional duties include training and educating the public and Department employees.MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS
Currently employed with the Florida Department of Revenue. One year of experience collecting tax obligations within the General Tax Administration Program.SPECIAL NOTES
This position travels locally to taxpayers' business locations. In addition, occasional overnight travel may be necessary for training purposes. For all travel, you will use your own means of transportation. Travel costs will be reimbursed according to agency policy.SALARY:
The hiring salary for this position generally will not exceed $3,881.92 monthly/$46,583.04 annually.BENEFITS
