Job Description
About the role : As a Tax Analyst, you will play a pivotal role in managing and preparing complex trust (1041) and 1099 tax records and filings , while providing valuable insights into tax compliance and strategies. This position builds upon foundational knowledge, enabling you to assist in special projects and collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure the organization's tax obligations are met efficiently and accurately.
Responsibilities :
- Prepare and file intermediate-level 1041 and 1099 tax returns and documentation.
- Maintain comprehensive and updated tax records.
- Assist in the preparation of tax estimates and forecasts.
- Collaborate with internal teams to gather necessary data for tax filings.
- Review and ensure accuracy in tax calculations and submissions.
- Conduct research on current tax laws and regulations.
- Respond to more tax inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and address discrepancies in tax documentation.

Ability to generate detailed tax reports.Qualifications Education:
Degree in accounting or taxation, preferredExperience:
- 2+ years' experience preparing and reviewing trust tax returns 1041 experience highly preferred. Will consider candidates who have some knowledge of 1041 returns if they have extensive knowledge of 1040s.
- Strong understanding of trust tax return concepts
- Extensive usage of tax software, preferably CCH
- Public accounting and/or bank/trust background
- Enrolled Agent, CPA a plus.
- Ability to interact with internal & external clients, assess business challenges and collaboratively define solutions to address key issues
- Excellent oral , written and presentation skills
- Self-motivated individual who can work with limited direction, while keeping key stakeholders apprised of project status
- Strong attention to detail and ability to spot inconsistencies in large amounts of data being reviewed
- Strong PC and business software application skills, including Microsoft office suite - excel
- Ability to mentor and assist other team members with questions and/or best practices
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, fluid environment handling multiple tasks and projects concurrently while implementing best practices and focusing on attention to detail

Compensation:
$57,400.00 - $98,350.00 USD This role is eligible for Bonus. Compensation range listed is based on primary location of the position. Actual base salary offer is influenced by a wide array of factors including but not limited to skills, experience and actual hiring location.
