US Tax Associate 4.3 4.3 out of 5 stars Crawfordsville, IN 47933 Full-time Oremus corporate services Pvt Ltd 9 reviews Full-time We are seeking a detail-oriented and technically strong US Tax Associate to join our growing tax team. This position is open to US-based candidates only. Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal and state income tax returns, including: Form 1040
  • Individual Income Tax Returns Form 1065
  • Partnership Returns Form 1120S
  • S Corporation Returns Form 1120
  • C Corporation Returns Form 1041
  • Fiduciary/Trust Returns Form 990
  • Nonprofit Organisation Returns Prepare workpapers and supporting documentation in accordance with firm standards and IRS compliance requirements Utilize Drake Tax as the primary software platform for tax preparation, diagnostics, e-filing, and workflow management Perform Schedule D and Form 8949 reconciliations involving: capital gains/losses brokerage statements equity compensation cost basis adjustments Be able to handle business entity taxation matters including: shareholder/partner basis tracking pass-through allocations distributions entity-specific tax treatments Assist in responding to IRS and state tax notices, correspondence, and information requests Coordinate with internal team members and client contacts to gather missing information and ensure timely filing completion Stay updated on federal and state tax law changes, IRS guidance, and tax software enhancements Qualifications Required Qualifications Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Taxation, Finance, or a related field 3-4 years of hands-on experience in US tax preparation within a CPA firm, accounting firm, or tax practice Preferable working knowledge of Drake Tax software Experience preparing Forms 1040, 1065, 1120S, 1120, 1041, and 990 Understanding of core federal and state tax concepts for individuals and business entities Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications Active Enrolled Agent (EA) credential What We Offer Collaborative and review-driven work environment Exposure to diverse individual and business tax engagements Career growth and professional development opportunities Support for CPA progression and continuing education Opportunity to work with an experienced US tax team
