• Full-time Job Summary Dishion & Hurst CPAs is seeking a Senior Tax Associate (CPA or EA) to join our growing firm.

This role focuses on preparing and reviewing individual and business tax returns, along with direct client interaction. We are looking for someone who can work independently, communicate clearly with clients, and contribute to a strong, team-oriented environment. This position offers a clear path to Tax Manager as the firm continues to grow. Responsibilities Prepare and review tax returns (1040, 1120S, 1065) Handle complex tax situations, including high-income individuals and multi-entity clients Communicate directly with clients to gather information and answer questions Review work prepared by staff and provide feedback Assist with tax planning and advisory opportunities Respond to IRS and state notices Identify tax-saving opportunities and potential issues Maintain organized and accurate client files Support workflow improvements and firm efficiency Qualifications Active CPA or Enrolled Agent (EA) license 5+ years of tax preparation experience Experience reviewing tax returns Strong knowledge of individual and business taxation Experience with tax software ( Thomson Reuters Suite preferred ) Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills Comfortable communicating directly with clients Preferred Experience working with small business clients Familiarity with multi-entity structures Interest in tax planning and advisory work Compensation & Benefits Competitive salary based on experience Paid time off Flexible work environment (hybrid potential) Clear path to Tax Manager Schedule Full-time Monday to Friday Busy season required, with flexibility after deadlines Work Location Jeffersonville, IN (Hybrid or In-Office) Apply If You Are Detail-oriented and dependable Comfortable working directly with clients Looking for long-term growth in a CPA firm A team player who takes ownership of their work
