Tax Specialist

Job DescriptionJob Description Key Responsibilities Prepare and review federal, state, and local tax returns for individuals, corporations, and partnerships. Conduct tax research and stay informed on changing tax laws and regulations. Communicate directly with clients to gather financial data, answer tax-related questions, and provide guidance. Identify tax-saving opportunities and strategies for clients. Assist with IRS and state notices, inquiries, and audits. Maintain accurate and organized client files and documentation. Collaborate with team members to ensure deadlines are met during tax season. Provide exceptional client service with professionalism and confidentiality. Qualifications 2+ years of experience in tax preparation. CPA, EA, or progress toward certification (preferred). Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (preffered). Strong knowledge of federal and state tax laws for individuals and businesses. Proficiency in tax software (UltraTax, Drake, ProSeries, or similar) and Microsoft Excel. Excellent attention to detail, time management, and organizational skills. Strong communication skills and ability to explain tax matters clearly to clients.
