This team plays a critical role in defining, prioritizing, and enhancing tax and technology and processes to ensure regulatory compliance and scalability within an ever‑evolving enterprise landscape. You will help drive technology efforts and provide technical and product leadership across systems that support complex, enterprise-wide financial operations. The Corporate Systems team is a collaborative, cross‑functional group that delivers solutions across the full software lifecycle, from development to ongoing optimization. We support enterprise initiatives, regulatory compliance, and business process improvement using a mix of custom and packaged solutions built on industry‑leading technologies. The team prioritizes agile delivery, clean code, high‑quality outcomes, and responsible evaluation of AI solutions, working within a global delivery model with onshore and offshore partners to deliver at scale. In this role, you'll primarily work virtually from home or another non‑Best Buy location. However, you must live within a drivable distance to our corporate campus in Richfield, Minnesota. The specific work arrangements vary by role and team, and the recruiter or hiring manager will provide additional details during the hiring process. Relocation assistance is not available for this role. What you'll do Translate tax, finance, and compliance needs into scalable technical solutions Own the roadmap, backlog and delivery for tax and treasury platforms Lead product and engineering efforts across internal teams, vendors, and partners Design and manage integrations, automation, and reporting capabilities Set direction for architecture, data, and system design Mentor engineers and guide best practices across the team Basic qualifications Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience 5+ years building and supporting Java-based applications in production 5+ years working with enterprise finance or tax platforms such as Oracle, SAP, or Vertex Preferred qualifications Experience defining system or enterprise architecture roadmaps Strong design skills focused on scalability, reliability, and data integrity Knowledge of finance, tax, or accounting processes and controls Experience with cloud-based and distributed systems Ability to evaluate technology choices and tradeoffs What's in it for you We're committed to helping our people thrive at work and at home.
