Mortgage Servicing Tax Specialist I Bell Mortgage - 4.0 Fargo, ND Job Details 1 day ago Benefits Profit sharing Health insurance Dental insurance 401(k) Vision insurance Qualifications Escrow Customer communication Research Math Full Job Description This position specializes in servicing of 1-4 Family Mortgage secured loans. This position primarily processes the remittance and tracking of property taxes, as well as cancellation of PMI (private mortgage insurance) and escrow waiver requests and other miscellaneous duties as assigned. This position will also assist and accurately prepare, review, and analyze all escrow accounts.
Primary Duties:
Update and maintain position procedures. Review investor requirements to ensure compliance with position duties. Process the following daily, weekly or periodic reports/duties: Review Tax reports PMI monthly reconcilement. Escrow Waiver Request. PMI Cancellation Request Review and analyze the escrow accounts according to the yearly schedule. Assist customers in review of analysis statements & determine why monthly escrow amounts changed; send letters as needed and assist customers with inquiries. Pay real estate taxes on all escrow accounts following the yearly schedule. Review tax reports for corrections to be made. Handle customer inquiries regarding 1-4 Family 1st Mortgage loans. Know by name and face as many customers and employees as possible, calling them by name as often as possible. Know and practice LOCBUTN, our Golden Rules, and Bell Bank Customer Service Standards. Know, understand, and live the company values and bottom line. Conduct activities consistent with established Bell Bank policies, procedures and systems, the Bell Bank Employee Conduct policies, the Bank Secrecy Act and all applicable state and federal laws and regulations. All employees are responsible for information security, including compliance with policies and standards which protect sensitive information. Prompt and reliable attendance. Perform other duties as assigned.
Job Skills Required:
Knowledge of rules, regulations and policies relating to escrow accounts and mortgage insurance. Detail oriented, organized, have excellent problem solving skills and math skills. Ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and work independently. Good communication skills as this position frequently interacts with other departments, lenders, customers, vendors, management and various taxing authorities. Ability to be flexible and adapt well to change. Good research skills.
