Krannich Solar East is looking for a Senior Tax Analyst in Pennsauken, NJ to take ownership of our day-to-day tax compliance activities across multiple states. This is a hands-on role with broad exposure across the business, where youll partner with Finance, Operations, and external partners to help ensure compliance, identify risks, and support continuous process improvements.

Youll play an important role in maintaining accurate tax processes, supporting audits and filings, and helping keep operations running smoothly and compliantly.

What Youll DoIn this role, youll serve as the primary point of contact for tax compliance and related activities across the organization. Youll help manage multi-state tax activities, support audits and filings, identify risks and opportunities for improvement, and collaborate closely with internal teams and external partners to maintain accurate and compliant processes.

Sales & Use Tax - Your primary focusManage multi-state sales and use tax complianceReview transactions to ensure taxes are applied correctlyMaintain exemption and resale certificatesSupport use tax accruals and identify risk areasReview and coordinate tax filings with outside providersResearch and resolve tax notices, discrepancies, and questionsReconciliations & ReportingReconcile tax accounts to the general ledgerInvestigate and resolve variancesSupport monthly and year-end reportingTrack filing deadlines and keep everything on scheduleAudit & Compliance SupportHelp manage sales tax audits and documentationWork with auditors and state agencies to resolve inquiriesMonitor business activity for new tax obligations across statesIdentify areas for improvement or risk and recommend solutionsSystems & Process ImprovementHelp improve tax processes and internal controlsPartner with teams across Finance, Operations, and ITSupport tax setup and maintenance in systems like Sage and AvalaraDocument processes and keep things organized and consistentAdditional ExposureSupport payroll and income tax activities as neededAssist with registrations, licenses, and general compliance requirementsWhat Were Looking ForWere looking for someone experienced and confident, but also adaptable and willing to jump in where needed.5+ years of tax experience (sales & use tax is key)Experience working with multi-state tax environmentsComfortable working independently and managing your own workloadStrong attention to detail and problem-solving skillsSolid Excel skills for analysis and reconciliationsExperience with ERP systems (Sage and Avalara are a plus)Background in distribution, manufacturing, wholesale, or similar industries is helpfulStrong communication skills and ability to work across teamsWhy Join Krannich Solar East?
