We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Tax Analyst to support direct and indirect state tax compliance and reporting activities. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate tax filings, supporting audits, and identifying opportunities to improve processes and enhance tax-related insights. This position reflects the evolution of tax work from manual processing to a more systems-driven, analytical function, with an emphasis on continuous improvement and cross-functional collaboration. To support this, employees in this role are expected to be on-site four days a week, with the flexibility to work one day remotely. Core in‑office days are Tuesday-Thursday, with the fourth day determined by business needs. Key Responsibilities Prepare and support state and local tax filings for designated business units, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements Analyze and interpret tax laws and regulations to support tax reporting and compliance activities Conduct tax research and summarize findings for team members and leadership Contribute to process improvements and system optimization efforts within the tax function Support tax audits and inquiries, including gathering documentation and coordinating responses Analyze financial data to identify tax efficiencies and planning opportunities Assist with tax forecasting activities Maintain organized and accurate tax records, filings, and supporting documentation Leverage tax systems and ERP tools to improve efficiency and reduce manual processes Partner with internal teams (Accounting, Finance, etc.) to ensure accurate reporting and alignment Generate routine and ad hoc tax reports and analyses Perform other duties as assigned Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Business, or related field required Generally, 1-3 years of relevant tax, accounting, or finance experience Working knowledge of federal, state, and local tax regulations with experience leveraging tax software, financial systems, and ERP platforms is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to interpret financial data, identify trends/issues, and adapt to changing processes and priorities High attention to detail with strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills, including ability to simplify complex tax concepts and handle confidential information
