Responsibilities:
As a Tax Advisor, you will work closely with senior management to support our diverse client base.
Your role will focus on:
Tax Preparation:
Prepare federal and state returns for corporations, partnerships, trusts and individuals in an effective and timely fashion using tax software, may include assistance in quarter payroll tax reports and bookkeeping
Accounting Support:
Assist with quarterly payroll tax reports and bookkeeping tasks as needed.
Tax Planning Support:
Analyze and develop customized tax strategies using our advanced tax planning software for new and existing clients
Research:
Perform tax research projects accurately and efficiently; assist with IRS and state tax audits
Client Communication:
Communicate clearly with clients (verbally and in writing) in both English and Mandarin to gather information and provide status updates.
Teamwork:
Show initiative, manage client projects, tax deadlines, and work as a team player at all levels
Professional Development:
Stay up to date with tax changes and maintain continuing education requirements to grow into a senior advisory role.
Requirements Education:
Bachelor's or Master's degree in Accounting or Taxation is required.
Experience:
Minimum 2 years of experience in tax preparation or public accounting.
Language:
Bilingual in Chinese Mandarin (Required for client communication).
Software:
Proficient in Microsoft Word and Excel. Experience with Drake, UltraTax, or QuickBooks is a significant plus.
License:
EA (Enrolled Agent) or CPA candidate is highly preferred.
