In this role, you'll prepare and review business and individual tax returns while mentoring junior team members and serving as a trusted advisor to clients. Responsibilities Prepare business and related individual tax returns Review tax returns prepared by staff associates to ensure accuracy, completeness, and compliance Mentor and support staff-level associates through coaching and technical guidance Conduct tax research to address client questions, identify planning opportunities, and confirm compliance Communicate with clients to gather information, provide updates, and ensure timely completion of internal and external deadlines Minimum Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Accounting CPA license or CPA candidate with 4-5 years of federal tax preparation experience in a public accounting firm Proficiency with CCH ProSystem fx / Axcess Tax, Engagement, and Fixed Assets Strong technical tax knowledge with a desire to help clients optimize tax efficiency; proactive, innovative thinker with an interest in building long-term consulting expertise Prior experience reviewing tax returns and mentoring or coaching staff level team members required Excellent written and verbal communication skills; able to clearly explain complex tax concepts to clients in a supportive and informative manner Fast learner who works efficiently, asks questions proactively, and takes initiative Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple assignments and follow-up items simultaneously We are an equal opportunity employer and are committed to maintaining a harassment-free workplace for all applicants and employees, regardless of race, color, religion, national origin, gender, age, disability, sexual orientation, veteran status, or any other protected category.
